For instance many newer cars offer a small digital toggle screens that you can monitor a variety of parameters without having ten different gauges around the interior while still stylishly displaying the basics of fuel level, speed, rpm, temp etc. It does not have to merely be a vanity item, it can potentially allow for more in depth electrical development for our cars. This doesn't have to be an "if it's not broke don't fix it situation". We've all seen the re-examining of both basic and traditional systems for our cars has led to a great deal of innovation over the past 5 years Cast manifolds, larger IC piping, larger throttle bodies all of which performed fine but have been improved upon. Many times a breakthrough is made possible simply from someone posing a question.
